Overview

MeetingInsights (“the App”) is developed by an independent developer. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.

In short: MeetingInsights does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything — recording, transcription, and AI minutes generation — happens entirely on your device. The App contains no networking code.

Data Access

The App accesses the following on your device:

Microphone

  • The App records audio only while you actively run a meeting recording session that you start and stop.
  • Audio is processed on your device for live transcription. If you enable “Keep audio recordings” in Settings, the audio file is stored locally on your device; otherwise it is discarded after transcription.
  • Audio is never transmitted off your device.

Speech Recognition (On-Device)

  • Live transcription uses Apple's on-device speech frameworks (SpeechAnalyzer / SpeechTranscriber, introduced in iOS 26).
  • Transcription runs entirely on your device. No audio or transcript is sent to Apple's servers or any other server.

Artificial Intelligence Features

MeetingInsights uses Apple Intelligence (Apple Foundation Models), which runs entirely on your device:

  • Minutes generation — your meeting transcript (and any notes you paste) is processed by the on-device model to produce a summary, key decisions, and action items.
  • Meeting chat — questions you ask about a meeting are answered by the on-device model using only that meeting's transcript and minutes.

For all AI features:

  • All processing happens on your iPhone. No transcript, note, question, or generated content is transmitted to any server — Apple's, ours, or anyone else's.
  • Chat history and generated minutes are stored locally on your device (SwiftData).
  • No third-party AI service is used.

Data Collection

MeetingInsights does not collect any data. Specifically:

  • No personal information is collected
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No crash reports sent to external services
  • No data is transmitted to any server
  • No third-party SDKs or services are used
  • No account or sign-in is required or offered

Data Storage

Your meetings — titles, attendees, transcripts, generated minutes, chat history, and (optionally) audio recordings — are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData and the App's local storage. Deleting a meeting in the App permanently deletes its transcript, minutes, and audio. Deleting the App deletes all of its data.

Third-Party Services

MeetingInsights does not use any third-party services, analytics, or advertising frameworks. The App links only against Apple system frameworks.

Children's Privacy

MeetingInsights does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
